Choosing the Right Bead Organizer System

Before you decide on a bead organizer system you should give it some thought and come up with a plan. Jewelry makers who started with a system, then realized that it wasn't right for them have wasted a lot of money. You need to consider the size and quantity of beads you'll be using. If you are going to be mass-producing designs and buying multiple strands of each type of bead, you'll need a storage unit big enough to keep them all together. If you are going to make single copies of the designs you see in jewelry magazines, you'll only need to store a few leftover beads.

Toy Storage Organizer

How much space do you have?

Toy Storage Organizer

The amount of space you can dedicate to storage also has to be considered. If you work on your dining room table and need to pack everything up so you can eat every night, you should take a look at the rolling tackle box or suitcase type organizers. You can position them where you are working, then roll them in the corner when you need to use your worktable for other activities.

On the other hand, if you have a dedicated studio/workshop, you can think on a larger scale. Bookcases or adjustable shelves fastened directly to the wall are a couple of good ideas, as are kitchen countertops and/or worktables with your bead storage containers stacked along the back, against the wall.

Match the container to the bead size and quantity

Container options range from towers of cute little round plastic tubs to plastic fishing tackle boxes. The beauty of the tackle boxes are their flexibility and safety. Most come with removable dividers so you can make the spaces the size you need. They also close securely so that if they are dropped or knocked off the table, you won't have bead soup to re-sort.

Small parts organizer cabinets are another option that can be re-purposed. Some of them have all large or all small drawers, and some have a combination. The drawers are removable so you can take only what you need to your worktable without having to move the entire cabinet. They can be stacked on top of one another and fastened to the wall to keep them from turning over.

If you use smaller beads, you need smaller storage containers. Seed beads would be lost in either of the above options, but don't worry, there are numerous organizers aimed straight at the seed bead users. Whether you choose round tubes or the small flip top boxes that look like Tic-Tac containers is a personal preference. There are larger containers available that are specifically designed to hold the smaller containers, which keeps your bead collection neat and organized.

Before you buy anything, spend some time thinking about your needs, imagine how you want to use your workspace and don't forget to plan for the future. Looking at all of the options available to you before you make a decision will save you both money and frustration in the long run.

How to Store Kids Dress Up Clothes

Your children love to play dress up. In fact, they love it so much they dress-up almost daily, and then every evening dress-ups are scattered across your floors...

Toy Storage Organizer

Sound familiar? You may need a dress-up storage option that is more child-friendly. Perhaps you don't even have storage for those Cinderella dresses yet! Storing dress-up clothes doesn't have to be headache. This guide will help you determine what type of storage option you need so that you can find the best dress-up clothes option for your family.

Toy Storage Organizer

Grab a pen and jot down your answers to these next questions. This will help you get a general idea on what you're looking for.

1. How often are the dress-ups used? If they are used on a regular basis, you will need to store them in a playroom or bedroom. You'll probably be looking for a storage option with visual appeal. If the dress ups aren't used very often, you can store them in stackable plastic tubs in a garage or closet shelf.
2. How many dress ups do you have? Do you have every one of Cinderella's dresses or just a few princess costumes?
3. Do you need to store general dress-ups or are you looking for a more organized option?

Now that we've looked at the basics, it's time to get ideas.
Under-the-bed tubs: Whether your storing Cinderella, Snow White, or Sleeping Beauty dresses, it doesn't matter. These slim storage tubs are great if you are low on space and don't have too many dress-ups. Pick up a few of these and label them for an organized storage option. This is also one of the most economical storage options. Pros: Cheap, organized, doesn't take up any extra space. Cons: Each tub can only store a few items. Note: tub options do not allow you to hang those princess dresses.

Storage Chest: Cedar chests in particular offer a great visual appeal and a fair amount of storage. If your dress-ups aren't used on a weekly basis, try a chest that will get more air like a white wicker chest. Otherwise, just make sure that the wooden chest is stored in a dry place! Pros: Visually appealing, large, protects clothes. Cons: Takes up space, doesn't allow clothes to be organized. Note: tub options do not allow you to hang those princess dresses

Dress up Armoires: These can be purchase online or at particular toy or furniture stores. Call around to see if any stores near you carry them so you can see what they look like. Typically these have hooks, drawers, and mirrors assembled on them in a child-friendly way. Pros: Organized, visually appealing, easy to use. Cons: Often expensive, difficult to find.

DIY Dress up Armoire: If you're looking for all the conveniences of a dress-up armoire without the price tag, this may be a good option for you. Purchase individual closet storage pieces and assemble them together. Try using cubbies, large cubicles, and coat racks. Purchase some coat hooks and mirrors and add them in the cubicles and rack area. Don't forget to pick up some baskets for the cubbies! Pros: Customizable, visual appeal, easy for child to use Cons: Hassle of finding and putting together the furniture

Plastic Tubs: These are simple, economical, and fairly simple for children to use. But what you save in money you pay for in visual appeal! These are a good option if your child has a large closet that these can be stored in. Pros: Cheap, customizable, organized (if you purchase a couple with smaller sized ones for accessories) Cons: May not last as long, not visually appealing. Note: tub options do not allow you to hang those princess dresses.

How To Organize Your Kid's Closet So They Can Find Things Themselves

Children thrive on order, but are often unable to create it for themselves. Most children are not good at organizing their closets and rooms. For this task, they need some help. Often, they need a lot of help, in fact. It is up to parents to step in and provide a plan to make the child's closet easy for the child to understand and to use.

Toy Storage Organizer

The first thing you need to consider is the age of the child. A four-year-old will have a much different closet arrangement than a nine-year-old, for example. Different aged children have various abilities such as using hangers, reading labels, and reaching tall bars. You need to think about what you are expecting your child to do in keeping the closet tidy.

Toy Storage Organizer

A closet for a four-year-old might have bins for toys. You could label the bins for different kinds of toys, but the child may have trouble reading some of the labels. If that is the case, you can always use labels that are pictures cut out of a catalog or magazine. A picture of blocks could be put on a bin for building blocks. Just affix the label to the bin, and explain to the child that they should look and then sort.

Another consideration for a four-year-old would be that he or she cannot reach a high bar. Hangers are also difficult to manage with little hands. Hooks are good for hanging clothes that must be hung. For anything you can put into a drawer, it is great to have shelves or drawers for these items. Then your child will be able to get dressed without help.

A nine-year-old has different needs, yet often still has the need for some help with organization. A child this age can handle putting clothes on hangers and taking them off of them. This child can reach the tall bar to get down clothes. His or her closet will be more like an adult's closet than a four-year-old's, but it will still have to accommodate the child's needs.

Nine-year-olds have different types of playthings than four-year-olds. They may still be interested in Barbie dolls or action figures. They may have collections, such as baseball cards or coins. They will not want these items hidden away or thrown into a bin. Shelves are a good idea for such treasures. Girls this age might have jump ropes or pompoms that can be placed on hooks. Boys might have radio-controlled cars that can be placed on special shelves. Whatever the toy or hobby, there should be a place to store it.

Once you set up your child's closet so that it suits his or her needs, the next step is to teach the best way to use it. Go through putting clothing and toys away every day for awhile, especially with the little ones. Then ease back into helping your child tidy up the closet once a week. You will find that there are many fewer arguments about a messy room if you take time to help your child organize the closet.

Organize Your Garage on a Dime

The garage is the most multi-functional room in the entire home. What other room can be used for a tool shed, toy box, workroom, closet and covered parking for at least one car? With all of these things being stored in the garage an organization system needs to be in place or you will find yourself quickly spiraling out of control.

Toy Storage Organizer

If you have a large budget, you can solve all of the garage organization problems easily with a little time and planning. For the rest of us, we need to carefully plan out where we can get the most bang for our buck. This article focuses on getting your garage organized on a budget.

Toy Storage Organizer

The first thing you need to do is the obvious. If you are like the average person, you most likely have several things in your garage that you no longer use that could be sold. Either have a garage sale, post them on eBay or Craig's List. This will not only give you less things you are going to have to organize, it will put some extra money in your pocket to go toward your organization system.

After the things you no longer use are out of the way, plan out how you are going to organize your garage. Hopefully you made enough money in your garage sale to purchase a few shelves, some peg board and maybe even a hanging cabinet or two.

Instead of buying the expensive containers to hold your screws and nails, use old coffee cans. Most coffee comes in plastic containers and are excellent to reuse for these types of things. If you are not a coffee drinker, you can purchase a few mason jars for a little of nothing that will accomplish the same thing.

For storing your tools, a peg board (the board with all of the holes in it) is the way to go. It is inexpensive and will keep everything neatly organized.

The Teen-Girl Zone - Tools to Organize Teenage Girls' Rooms

So, you have bravely decided to roam where more faint-hearted mothers dare not: The Teen-Girl Zone, a.k.a. your daughter's room! You want to help your teenage girls get organized, but you're not sure where to start. Well, as a professional organizer and mother of four teenage girls, I have a few tools to help you get your teenage girls get organized.

Toy Storage Organizer

Let me encourage you by reminding you that learning any skill takes repetition, reward and coaching. I also have a small word of warning-if you have a rocky relationship with your teenage girl, this could become a bit of a power struggle. You don't want to come between her clutter and emotions. May I suggest that you do a little research and determine what "organizational type" your daughter is. Organizing for Your Brain Type, by Lana Nakone is a valuable resource that will help you decide whether your teenage girl is a people person, innovator, maintainer or prioritizer. Knowing how she needs to organize may reduce your struggles in the Teen-Girl Zone! What is the most fun schedule to get organized? Get in the Zone!

Toy Storage Organizer

In the Zone

When you help a teenage girl organize her space, start with a few questions:

1. What do you love about your room?
2. What do you dislike about your room?
3. What things are in the right place that you definitely don't want to move?
4. What do you do in your room? (Sleep, dress, read, homework, etc.)
5. Do you like the color and general arrangement of your room?

Knowing the answers to these questions helps get you in the zone and guides the organizational process, helping you see how you can avoid struggle. These questions also give you an opportunity to uncover possible areas for incentive. Would your daughter enjoy new bedding or painting her room? Perhaps you can offer those as rewards to her when she has organized her room and maintained it for one month.

Prepared with the right information, you will have success in the zone.

Zoning

To a local government, zoning means determining how an area is to be used or developed-that's the kind of zoning you are going to help your teenage girl with. You know what zoning means to the average teenager! It's your job to help your teenage girl use these organizing tools to transform teenage zoning to space-use zoning.

Zone One-The Sleep Zone

It may seem obvious, but your daughter will be sleeping in the sleep zone, which includes the area immediately around your daughter's bed. You should ask her what she needs to get a good night's sleep. Make a list of those items and make sure that those items are in her sleep zone.

Some items to consider in the sleep zone are: the bed, pillows, blankets, an alarm clock, and nightstand. Depending on your daughter's habits, she may need a good lamp on her nightstand for reading; reading material; tissues; a water glass; paper and pencil; and chap stick. If there is no room for a nightstand, consider providing your daughter with a basket that can hold the things she needs that can be stowed under the bed or on a nearby shelf. A floor lamp or a lamp that can be clamped to her headboard may be good alternatives for lighting.

Here's a tip that can instantly make your daughter's room look orderly: have her make her bed every day. If this is a habit she has never developed, you could offer to buy her new bedding if she consistently makes it every day for a set period of them - one month is usually long enough to establish a new habit.

The last area to work on in the sleep zone is the space under the bed. Pull every thing out that may be lurking there. Sort through what needs to be kept in the sleep zone, what needs to be stored elsewhere, and what can be thrown away. My girls store bulky items like sleeping bags, overnight bags, and folding chairs under the bed.

Zone Two-The Clothes Zone

The Clothes Zone will probably take the most time of any zone in your teen girl's room to organize. Make sure you have time to complete this project in one session; it could take up to three hours to organize, depending on how many clothes your teen has. You will need storage boxes or bags and cleaning supplies.

I have created a process to help you get your teenage girl's clothes organized. Here are my seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven!

Step One: Take all of her clothes out of her closet and dresser drawers and create categorized piles.

Pile 1-This season's clothes, shoes and accessories that you are wearing now. Keep only clothes that fit and that you like and use.

Pile 2-Out-of-season clothes, shoes and accessories that you are sure will fit next year and that you like and will continue to use/wear.

Pile 3-All clothes, shoes and accessories that are too small, you don't like, are stained or are beyond repair. (Bag up items to pass on to a sibling or friend. Or, you may want to take usable items to a consignment store or charity. Throw away everything that's in unusable condition!)

Step Two: Take out all games, memorabilia, toys and stuff. Decide what you will keep and what can be given away. Anything in poor repair or missing pieces should be thrown away.

Step Three: Clean the closets and drawers thoroughly while they are empty. Wipe down walls and shelves, and then vacuum the floor and cobwebs along the ceiling.

Step Four: Place this season's clothes, shoes and accessories back into the closet or dresser drawers. Hang or fold all clothes neatly. Make sure that jackets are buttoned or zipped. Group clothes by category: pants; shirts; skirts; and dresses together. Hang belts on hooks or hangers. Consider a shoe organizer, if your teen-girl has lots of shoes.

Step Five: Place off-season clothes, shoes and accessories in a clear plastic bin and store under the bed or in the attic. If your closet is big enough, you may store your office season clothes and other items in the back of your closet.

Step Six: Place all games, toys and memorabilia back in your closet on a shelf or easy to see place. If memorabilia is worth keeping, it is worth keeping well, so make sure that your teen has an appropriately sized box to store all items neatly. You will also want to take this time to help your daughter consider what items are truly worth saving and which things she might let go.

Step Seven: Now that all of your teen-girl's clothing and other belongings are neatly organized you can easily see what items she may need. Make a list and plan to purchase and replace needed items.

Now that you have completed the seven steps to Clothes Zone Heaven all your teen girl needs to do is maintain the new order. I have found that it goes well when my daughters take a few moments each week to make sure that they are keeping things stored properly. Remind your daughter to give you items that they try on and no longer fit or that become stained or otherwise un-wearable. Dealing with items as they fall out of use is easier than working through an entire closet. Also, encourage her to immediately put clothes away that she decides not to wear. It takes seconds to hang up one outfit. It can take 15 minutes or more to sort through and put away a pile of clothes!

Finally, you will want to make plans to revisit the Clothes Zone each season to repeat all seven steps.

Zone Three-The Study Zone

Zone Three is really a matter of preference. You need to consider where your daughter usually does her homework. If she most often does her homework in her room, not the kitchen table or sitting in the bonus room, then she needs a homework zone established in her room.

If she prefers sitting at desk, then have her sit down at her desk and think through all the supplies that she needs while she is working there. Ask her what she uses every day or weekly. When I am working with a client, I give items that receive regular use what I call prime real estate. Anything not related to the tasks your daughter does sitting at the desk, do not get to stay there. Keepsakes and memorabilia must be "containerized" and stored elsewhere. If your daughter prefers to work sitting on her bed or the floor, maybe all she needs is a basket of supplies that she can pull out when she is working. Next, make sure her Homework Zone is well lighted and that she has a comfortable chair.

You will also want to make sure that this zone is well supplied, include: a calendar, clear sheet protectors, notebooks, note pads, as well as pencils and pens with a carrying case.

Zoned Out

Now that you have worked through the three main zones of your daughter's room, you will almost always have items that don't fit into any of the zones. You may place these in a bin and go through them to consider whether you will keep them. Here's the test. Ask whether the item is used daily or weekly. If it is used that often, then it can stay.

With memorabilia and other items left, ask:

- Do you want to display the item-- Should the item be stored or placed in a container to keep it in good condition-- Do you want to place the item in a scrapbook or photo album-- Is there someone with whom you can share the item-

With collections ask:

- On a scale from one to ten, how much do you love this collection-- Do you need the entire collection or just a few favorites-- If the collection is important to you, are you keeping it well and where it can be enjoyed-If you both decide that a collection will be kept, assign it a shelf or container. When the space is full, attempt to purge the collection to make room for new items.

A final word of encouragement-if your daughter (or you!) struggle to let things go, try storing an item for six months. Agree that the item will be given or thrown away, if your daughter has not asked for it during that time. Remember this is a life skill! If your daughter learns to manage her possessions now, she will have less stress and be equipped to manage her own home some day.

Organizing Toys the Easy Way - These 7 Ideas Will Make Toy Cleanup Fun For Kids

Is organizing toys a big problem in your household? Toys usually end up getting strewn around kids' bedrooms and even around the house. Here are some handy tips for creating a fun cleanup routine for your little ones. For the most part, "clean your room" is synonymous with "pick up your room", which is more about un-cluttering. The more you can keep things off the floor, the less cluttered a room looks and the easier it is to clean that room. The trick to getting kids to stay organized is to make it easy and fun.

Toy Storage Organizer

1. General Cleanup Rules. Kids of all ages want their privacy. Let them know that if they keep their rooms cleaned up, you will not have to enter except for periodic, preannounced inspections. Establish a morning pickup routine that might include making beds, hanging up towels in the bathroom and putting away pajamas. The evening pickup routine might include putting away toys and tossing dirty clothes in the hamper. Depending on their ages, children can also be expected to do some weekly cleaning of their bedrooms, which might include dusting or vacuuming.

Toy Storage Organizer

2. Shoe bag storage. A hanging shoe bag on the back of a door can be used to store small toys. Hang it low enough for children to easily reach into pockets to put away and retrieve their favorite toys. Store any collectibles and breakables out of reach in the upper pockets.

3. Animal corrals. Gather stuffed animals in a nylon hammock hung up in one corner of the room. You can even hang a length of colored string or ribbon horizontally between two hooks at either end a bare wall. Use clothespins to clip beanbag toys and small stuffed animals to the string. Note: You can use this same method to display their artwork.

4. Use shelves not boxes. Store toys and games on shelves with bins, rather than in one giant toy box. Finding what you want in a toy box generally makes a mess.

5. Install wall pegs. Install wall pegs at kids' height for hanging book bags, pajamas and bathrobes, jackets and clothes that they wear frequently.

6. Install reachable clothes rods. In the kids' closets, use higher rods for storing dressy and out-of-season clothes. Hang a second, lower rod to encourage them to hang up their everyday clothes. Home-supply stores sell rods that hang from an upper rod, as well as tension-mounted rods that can be fitted in the closet at any height.

7. Put a "Donate" box in your kids' rooms. If your kids can't be bothered to put toys away you can give them a choice. They can put it in the donation box, or you will do it for them.

Organizing toys doesn't have to be a chore unless you make it one. Help your kids see toy cleanup in a whole new way by making it easy and fun.

New Ideas for Using Storage Bins

Storage bins come in every shape and size. With so many options it's hard to resist the urge to organize your home with these necessities. Yes, I said necessities! Walk into any room of your home, open any closet or drawer, peek into your garage, or wander into your shed, and you will instantly see how useful a system of storage bins is. No longer will you have to waste time looking for something when it is neatly organized and labeled. In fact, I have relatives whose system is so precise that each box is labeled and cataloged. It takes nano-seconds to find exactly what they need.

Toy Storage Organizer

Not everyone will go to these lengths to get their house in order. However, most everyone will benefit from using storage bins to keep their "stuff" from over-running the house. Here are just a few suggestions:

Toy Storage Organizer

Use shoe-sized bins to house your shoes. Shoe boxes that your footwear comes in are all different shapes and sizes. They are made of cardboard which will wear down and could attract bugs. Imagine getting two sizes of boxes, one for regular shoes, and another size for larger shoes such as boots. They can be purchased clear so that you can see the shoes inside and you don't have to rummage through the boxes to find out which pair are hidden beneath the lids. As an added benefit, the shoes will stay in better condition because they are not being squished or exposed to dust.

Use under bed storage bins for items used only seasonally. This may include wrapping paper, crafting items blankets, or winter wear such as mittens and boots. It may not make sense to donate or discard such items even if you use them once or twice a year; however, you want to place them safely out of the way.

Use storage bins and garage racks in your garage. The garage can be a catch-all kind of space that can quickly get out of control. Tame the clutter beast by starting a system of racks and bins. Clearly label each bin. For example, you may have a bin for camping equipment, bike equipment, sports balls, holiday decorations, and car wash supplies. Plastic storage bins are a better choice, especially in the garage, to keep bugs that prefer to live in paper or cardboard away.

Use storage bins in your hall or linen closet. If you are a smart shopper, you may stock up on often used toiletries such as deodorant, shampoo and soap. Make sure that you can easily find them by putting them in various bins.

Use storage bins to get your kids organized. It's very easy, and a great amount of fun, to set up a system where each child gets a certain color of storage bin. This has endless possibilities. Keep the house tidy by simply putting your child's belonging in their own bin. They then become responsible for getting their possessions from the bin to the correct place in their room.

Could the New iPad Replace Your Main Computer?

The iPad is the brand new device in the electronics world that is very popular. Could this type of device realistically replace your main computer? Is it good enough to be able to function this way? There are some very real concerns as to why this device might not be good enough to become your primary computing device. While it is something like a laptop, an iPad might not be able to do everything you need.

Toy Storage Organizer

One of the primary arguments against using a tablet device like this as a primary machine is that the device lacks USB ports. This means that you will have issues connecting to other hardware. How do you print? How do you connect your external hardware to it? How are you going to backup your data? Realistically this is something that can't be done quite yet - at least not easily. Basically, unless we see some significant upgrades to the base iPad model, you will not be able to buy new hardware and connect to this type of device. This leaves you far less flexibility that what you get with a laptop.

Toy Storage Organizer

The iPad has some critical missing features that other computers have. One of these is that you aren't going to be able to watch streaming video on this device. This is because fundamental plugins like Flash are not allowed on this device. Time after time, Steve Jobs has said very directly that he is not interested in supporting Flash on the iPad and the iPhone. Because Flash is widely used, you will have to give up some functionality to use a an iPad as your main computer.

Another thing to consider is the data that you already own. Will all your music, movies, photographs and other digital media and document work on iPad? Will they all have programs that will open the hundreds of various formats that you might have? The answer is very likely no. There will be many different data types that simply will not work on this device. You will either have to change your data formats or not use some of it. This will be a huge sticking point for many users.

While it's not a good primary computer, an iPad can make a pretty good secondary device. This is something that could replace another computer in your home or a laptop. If you use it primarily for web surfing or mail, it will work well. If you use it to supplement your existing laptop or desktop, it will compliment it nicely. But if you want to replace a full fledged computer, you will probably be disappointed.

Organizing Your Craft and Sewing Supplies

If you're a weekend crafter like me, you probably have a lot of crafting odds and ends laying around that get all jumbled together depending on what project you're working on at the moment.

Toy Storage Organizer

Over the years, I have found several ways to organize my craft and sewing supplies in a way that I can actually find them again when I need them. As I went through the process of organizing them, I was able to identify items I no longer needed and separate the remaining items into logical groups. As a result, I now have all my supplies limited to one corner of a room and well organized. Now I can find things when I need them.

Toy Storage Organizer

When I first started sorting through all my supplies everything was thrown together in a lot of cardboard boxes up in a hard-to-reach closet. The first thing I did was dump each box into a big pile and start sorting. My piles were: lace, trim, buttons, quilting supplies, cross stitch supplies, ribbon roses, fabric scraps, craft books, and misc.

I first discarded the odds and ends I knew I'd never use again. I then bought two very large Rubbermaid containers (great for stacking) to store my supplies in. You may need more depending on how many supplies you have accumulated. I also bought some gallon-sized Ziploc bags.

I sorted through all the lace and trim and put lace in one Ziploc bag and trim in another. The ribbon roses went in another. I put all the buttons in a plastic container with different compartments--sorted by color. All these items, plus other misc. like styrofoam balls, contact paper, plastic canvas, went into one Rubbermaid container.

All my quilting and cross stitch supplies (mostly fabric scraps and cross stitch fabric) went into the second container.

All my unfinished projects went into a cardboard box, and all my yarn for plastic canvas projects went into another.

The containers and boxes stack on top of each other and fit nicely underneath a small square "craft table" I have set up in the corner of my home office. It's all out of the way and everything is easily identified.

On top of the table I keep little projects I'm working on, like cross stitch, or photo albums for working on scrapbooks. My embroidery thread is organized by DMC number in plastic containers made for storing embroidery thread. These containers are also stacked on the table.

My sewing machine thread is organized on a small wooden board with small spindles you can buy that is designed to hold spools of thread. My sewing machine sits on the floor next to the craft table while not in use.

Next to my craft table is a stand-alone cupboard that is sold as a pantry cupboard that you can probably find at Walmart for about 0. In the cupboard I store a lot of multipurpose items like my glue guns, all kinds of glue, paper, scissors, and all of my scrapbooking supplies. This cupboard works great for items other family members also use a lot, like tape and scissors. My paper cutter and long stapler are stored on top of the cabinet.

I also have several bookcases in my office, and I use a couple of shelves on one of them for organizing my craft and sewing books. The books are organized by craft type.

All of my small sewing supplies I keep in a couple of small sewing baskets that I can move with me from room to room. In these I keep sewing needles, embroidery scissors, measuring tape, pins, seam ripper, etc.

Hopefully these ideas will help you get in the mood to start organizing your own craft and sewing supplies. It's so much more enjoyable to work on projects when you know what you have and where everything is.
